THE MISSION OF THE UMBRELLA PROJECT MA FOUNDATION INC. (UMBRELLA PROJECT) IS TO EDUCATE, MENTOR, AND EMPOWER YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES TO CREATE GENERATIONS OF OPPORTUNITIES AND PROVIDE RESOURCES WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
Mentoring
Umbrella focuses on working individually with urban youth to build strong, resilient students who are more independent and critical thinkers. Mentoring is done in creative ways such as, Mindfulness workshops , Young adult yoga classes, Referrals, and or introductions to current programs in community.
Community Outreach
Health and social service providers, public health agencies, first responders, and community-based organizations are confronted daily with young adults struggling with acute or chronic conditions, lack of hands-on resources and a safe environment designed to proactively address these issues to support young adults to become healthier, more confident, and productive citizens within their family and living situation, school, and overall community. Umbrella works with communities to connect resources, family support, and unity within the population.
Our mission is to “Educate and Empower” Families, Youth, Teens, and Young adults by assisting them in gaining knowledge, life skills, and opportunities to better themselves and the communities in which they live.
